Hydrazine hydrate (1; 0.1 g, 2 mmol), ethyl acetoacetate (2; 0.26 g, 2 mmol), carbonyl compound (3; 2 mmol) and malononitrile (4; 0.13 g, 2 mmol) were added successively to per-6-ABCD (0.01 g, 0.008 mmol) under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. The reaction mixture was then ground for 1 minute. After completion of the reaction, 1 mL of distilled ethanol was added to the reaction mixture.
